Guys, we will always find what we are looking for. Or sometimes we just happen upon beautiful gardens and green spaces because we are freaking lucky. My husband often walks home after work for exercise from The Fort to Pasig. I think it’s pretty impressive. On his day off he tries to keep up with the routine and sometimes I tag along. A few months back we were weaving all through Kapitolyo and happened to walk past Garden Park 6. I was amazed! I could not believe that just a few minutes from our home was this very well maintained and lovely green space. After months of wanting to take the kids there it finally pushed through and what did we find on our way there? A brand new park just around the corner with beautiful play equipment. I am counting my lucky stars. My affirmations of Manila just keep proving true and I am so grateful.Garden Park 6 is really that, a large garden and green space. It has me wondering if there are more garden parks since this is number 6 and if so, where are you garden parks?!  I have been a handful of times and it is always empty, well maintained and clean. There once was a designated park area with multiple play structures but it is not in working order thus gated off. *Also, according to my husband there are really good Pokemon's here. I feel the pride in Kapitolyo and I love it. If you haven't ventured up this way, you must! There is a massive food scene as well. Notes at the bottom of this post, have a look.

While driving to Garden Park 6 we happened upon a brand new park, Kapitolyo Park. This park is located just to the left of Barangay Kapitolyo City Hall. It is literally brand new! Go now while everything is new and well maintained.

The afternoon we park hopped it had been drizzly so I brought extra towels to wipe down all the equipment. By the end each of the boys had tripped and gotten a bit muddy but it was all good. There are heaps of different exercise equipment scattered around the park. The boys loved this one.

The layout and grounds at Kapitolyo Park are very nice and well organized. It looks like a great place for gatherings with the covered rotunda and new toilets.

Things To Know:

  • Garden Park 6 is located on Stella Maris Street, Kapitolyo Pasig.

  • Kapitolyo Park is located on Santa Isabel street.

  • The parks are only a 2-3 minute walking distance apart.

  • There are so many restaurants to enjoy after park hopping. My personal favorite place in Kapitolyo is Cookie Bar Manila because they have THE best s'more cookie. Greasy burger galore from Charlie's Grind and Grill, my personal favorite sushi bar is Haru Sushi and if you love breakfast, Kanto Freestyle is the place to be. The new Gastro Park is pretty cute but I haven't been yet. Click the links for Booky's top picks and Spot.ph. I have always loved this food map from looloo even if it is a few years old.
