Today Sheena shares a recent visit to the Philippine National Police Museum located at Camp Crame in Quezon city. I have had the PNP Museum on my list for over a year and have never been able to make it there so I am just as eager to learn about the museum as you are. Maraming salamat Sheena!

About the PNP Museum|

The PNP Museum is located inside Camp Crame.

There are two floors in the building. It showcases various PNP memorabilia and other artifacts they've collected through the years. If you're looking to learn more about The Philippine National Police and its history, this is the place for you.

We decided to visit one day with other homeschooling families so we could all learn more together!

Inside the Museum|

Our tour began at 10am. We were greeted by police officers who took us on a quick background about the PNP through an audio-visual presentation.

After that, they opened the floor for questions. Thankfully, our officers were very patient because oh boy, did the kids have plenty to say! Soon after our quick Q&A, they took us around to check out the different items in their collection.

At the first level, there were guns, artillery and other war memorabilia. We were also taken to explore the different uniforms the PNP officers have had over the years. Take note that the place isn't big so if you're going with a big group, it can get a little crowded.

After spending some time downstairs, we went up to see more. The highlight at the 2nd level is the area dedicated to police officers who received the Medal of Valor or Medalya ng Kagitingan, which is the highest honor that can be given to an officer. At this floor, you can also find a collection of other awards, medals and badges given to officers of the PNP.

Outdoor Area: Tanks and more!|

I think the police officers in charge knew that the kids would go crazy and take their time at this section, and they sure did! When the kids saw the tanks, they screamed and ran without looking back at us!

Here they displayed different tanks, jeeps and other vehicles. It was great that they welcomed kids to touch, explore and even go on some of the vehicles. The kids definitely had a great time here!

The PNP Museum is open to the public and entrance is FREE! But Camp Crame is a secured area so you MUST obtain permission.
